From June 23rd to 27th, 2025, the twelfth round of negotiations for the second phase of the China-South Korea Free Trade Agreement was held in Seoul, South Korea. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on cross-border service trade, investment, financial services, and negative list market access, and made positive progress. 

The China-South Korea Free Trade Agreement came into effect on December 20, 2015, effectively promoting the growth of trade and investment between the two countries. Both sides are committed to concluding the second phase of negotiations to achieve high-level liberalization of service trade and investment.
