The Anyang base successfully smelted and cast Mn25 high manganese steel for the first time.

"The initial casting proceeded smoothly. It is imperative to maintain precise control over the casting speed and temperature to ensure the successful completion of the entire process." On August 3rd, under the on-site supervision of Cheng Guanjing, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of Henan Iron and Steel Group, as well as Party Secretary and Chairman of Anyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., the Second Steelmaking and Rolling Department successfully completed its first casting of Mn25 high-manganese steel.

Building upon the stable production of Mn13 high-manganese wear-resistant steel, the Anyang base has now focused on the development and production of the more challenging Mn25 high-manganese steel. Compared to Mn13, Mn25 presents significantly greater difficulties in the steelmaking and casting processes, with its production demanding exceptionally stringent requirements on equipment, technology, and operations, making the development and production tasks exceptionally arduous.

To ensure the successful completion of the Mn25 high-manganese steel production task, the leadership of the company has placed high importance on the project, with relevant departments providing substantial support. The Second Steelmaking and Rolling Department has convened multiple specialized meetings to thoroughly analyze the characteristics of Mn25 high-manganese steel and the potential challenges in the production process. In light of the specific attributes of this steel grade, the department has meticulously formulated and repeatedly revised the key points of the process operations, leveraging its own technological and equipment advantages.

The successful completion of this casting operation underscores the Anyang base's confidence and determination to continuously advance in the field of advanced steel materials. To address the critical challenges in the rolling process, the Second Steelmaking and Rolling Department will comprehensively explore the limits of its rolling capabilities, ensuring the successful production of Mn25 high-manganese steel.
